Extremely reliable and fuel-efficient, the Kleemann Jaw Crusher was awarded with a German design award.
Kleemann, a member company of Wirtgen Group, was awarded with the German Design Award 2015 for the jaw crusher MC 110 Z EVO, thus marking the second design prize for a mobile crusher. The machine was awarded in the category of ´Transportation and Public Design´ for its first-class and innovative design and technology.
The German design award honours pioneering products in the German and international design market. It assess qualities such as the ergonomic character, functionality and operability, practical value, degree of innovation, long-life, ecological compatibility, technical quality, technical function, manufacturing technology and quality, etc.
Kleemann incorporated these aspects right from the start with the integration of a specialist product designer in the development process. The plant is arranged and structured according to its design and colour scheme. Explaining the finer details of the design, Otto Blessing, Head-Development and Design, Kleemann, says ¨The new design is much more maintenance-friendly than other machines of this class. All functional areas are easy to access, thus simplifying the handling. This factor makes an indirect contribution to the high operational reliability.¨
The retrofitting from the transportation to the operation position only takes a few minutes with the integrated hopper walls and foldable side conveyors.
The economical crusher direct drive, combined with electric drives for vibrating chutes, conveyors and grizzly, makes a noticeable contribution to the reduction of fuel consumption. This helps the plant to be operated extremely efficiently and with huge power reserves. The Continuous Feed System (CFS) creates an extremely consistent filling of the crusher area, thus contributing to a significant improvement in performance.
