Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) had organised the International Conference on Construction Chemicals from February 11-12, 2010 in Mumbai. The theme of the conference was Imperatives for Enhancing Consumption of Construction Chemicals in India. It was co-organised by the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilisers and Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry.
The aim of the conference was to discuss the challenges, market opportunities, advance case studies, strategic tie-ups and technology transfer in construction chemicals. It was attended by manufacturers, consultants, architects, engineers, contractors, traders, marketing professionals, builders and suppliers.
The conference held sessions on topics like overview of the construction chemicals industry, admixtures, water proofing chemicals, flooring compounds, protective coating, advance strategic and rehabilitation, basic repair in construction industry, advance strategic and rehabilitation and, challenges, market opportunities and strategic recommendations for the industry.
