Magnetic Autocontrol are world leaders in pedestrian and vehicle control products. We manufacture products for toll plazas, parking areas, vehicle control in buildings, factories, etc, and automatic fare collection for BRTS or MRTS, e-immigration gates, turnstiles, flap gates, swing gates for high security applications.
Magnetic Autocontrol´s India operations commenced in 2000, and in these years, we have acquired customers across all business verticals including government, IT and ITES, banking, industrial, etc, and are market leaders in pedestrian and vehicle control products.

Magnetic Autocontrol has more than 7,000 installations in the pedestrian entrance control businesses. With a focus on manufacturing in India to meet Indian business requirements, we produce high quality products meeting global standards. The manufacturing facility is ISO 9001:2008 certified.
Our product portfolio includes: Half height turnstiles; full height turnstiles; retractable flap barriers; high door flap barriers; swing and wing type pedestrian barriers; P gates for handicapped or material movements; AFC gates for metro rail and BRTS applications; automatic immigration gates; and automatic boarding gates.

What is the demand you foresee for your products in the metro, railways and airports segments in India?
Infrastructure and economic growth brings several opportunities for our products. With India seeing investments in metro rail and BRTS, smart city initiatives and growth in the airline industry, the need for pedestrian and vehicle control products is increasing. Products with good quality, well-engineered, high throughput and low maintenance, give us a unique position.
How much of your products are manufactured in India?
Over 16 years, we have been manufacturing products for several applications. Post the ¨Make-in-India¨ initiative announced by the government, we have further invested and enhanced our manufacturing facility to cater to the growing needs in the South-east Asian region. We are constantly investing and developing our engineering team to design and engineer new products, not only to meet India and South- east Asia requirements, but also export to European markets.
With these initiatives, Magnetic Autocontrol India has brought out several new locally designed and engineered products into the market in the last few years. ¨The Innovation Award¨ for 2015 by Magnetic headquarters is a proof of our engineering capabilities.
How much is invested on technology?
Magnetic Autocontrol is known for high quality, well-engineered technology products. With over 70 years of experience in motor, drive and control technologies, we have several USP and patents. Constant efforts in innovating new solutions and investment in R&D brings about not only technologically-advanced products but also products which ensure low emission and recyclable materials used in manufacturing these products.
How do you view the growth prospects in India for the company? Any special plans going forward?
We see India as a key market not only for local consumption but also as a manufacturing, support and service hub for South-east Asian countries. India requires investment in the infrastructure segment to ensure economic growth and development of modern cities with global standards. With Magnetic products, we foresee a high potential to address such requirements.
We have also established a training and a demo centre in our headquarters in Chennai to ensure that our customers are able to take advantage of the product offering. Magnetic Autocontrol India has enhanced and will further enhance its service support team to meet the growing requirements from our customers. Currently, we have a centralised service support based out of our India headquarters with regional service team in key metros in India.
