Making its entry in India in 1923, the company is currently the second largest paint company in the country. From an annual sales turnover of Rs 25 lakh, Berger Paints´ business revenues today are in excess of Rs 3,854 crore on a consolidated basis.
Its head office is in Kolkata; it has 11 manufacturing units and 170 sales offices. Globally, the company has marked its presence in three countries. The employee strength is about 2,500 and it has more than 15,000 dealers across the nation. Some of the company´s landmark projects include the Bandra Skywalk Project, Akshardham Temple and Bengaluru International Airport. Also, products offered by the company include interior wall coatings, exterior wall coatings, metal and wood paints, living green, protective coating, undercoats and construction chemicals. Berger Paints´ standalone revenue in 2013-14 rose to Rs 3,854.56 crore with a net profit of Rs 249.39 crore. The revenue growth of the company in 2013-14 was 15.6 per cent, however, the net profit growth slipped to 14.2 per cent this fiscal as against 21.3 per cent in 2012-13.
