Nilesh Bhorkar, National Manager (Sales & Marketing), Kobelco Cranes India Pvt Ltd, shares more on the market scenario and the company's strategies in conversation with SHRIYAL SETHUMADHAVAN.
How do you view India's present crawler crane market?
It's almost nine months now and the market is very dull. In the case of projects, there are instances where 75 per cent of the project is complete, yet it comes to a halt due to lack of funds. However, because of our manufacturing set up here, last year, from January to December, we sold around 32 machines - 30 of 100 tonne and two of 150 tonne. However, our target was 44 machines. Post April 2013, we expect the market to improve.
Do you offer training along with your products?

During such hard times, what are your strategies to keep yourself moving smoothe?
Considering the current situation, though at an initial stage, we are trying to connect with neighboring countries for exporting our products.
