13 L1 bidders in fray for Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg

Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) Authorities have announced the 13 lowest bidders (L-1) out of 18 eligible financial bidders to construct 13 packages of the 700-km Nagpur-Mumbai Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg (MSM) Expressway.

Here are the package lowest (L1) bidders:

Package 4 - Washim East-PNC Infratech
Package 5 - Washim West-Sadbhav Engineering
Package 6 - Buldana East-APCO
Package 7 - Buldana West-Reliance Infrastructure
Package 8 - Jalna-MonteCarlo
Package 9 - Aurangabad East-Megha Engineering
Package 10 - Aurangabad West-L&T
Package 11 - Ahmednagar-Gayatri Projects
Package 12 - Nashik East-DilipBuildcon
Package 13 - Nashik West-BSCPL

Announcing the names lowest bidders (L1) of the financial bid for the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg project, Radheshyam Mopalwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, MSRDC, said, “With the outcome of the financial bids, we have completed yet another important milestone of this mega infrastructure project. We will now immediately undertake the process of evaluation of the valuation submitted by the financial bidders. After completion of the due diligence in next few days, we may issue work orders.”

As on date, the government has acquired 81 cent private and government land.
The Rs 46,000-crore Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg project will connect 10 districts, 26 talukas and 392 villages in the state. It will help state prosper through a holistic process that integrates road connectivity with sustainable rural development through agri-business ecosystem and multidimensional sub-projects.

The greenfield project will have access control while its design and alignment is prepared as per International Road Congress (IRC) standards.
Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg will not only connect Nagpur and Mumbai, but also reduce current travel time of 18 hours to 8 hour between the two cities.
Construction for the Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg has been divided into 16 packages and the bid process for the remaining three packages is still under progress.
