JNPA Crosses 10 Million TEUs, Sets National Record

Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority (JNPA) in Navi Mumbai has become India’s first port to handle over 10 million TEUs, reinforcing its position as the top container hub. Handling over half of India’s container traffic, JNPA is now focusing on the development of Vadhvan Port due to space constraints at Uran. Sustainability and digitalisation remain key priorities, with 60 per cent renewable energy use and adoption of digital twins and 5G systems to enhance port operations and security.
