India's cement industry witnessed revival during FY18, backed by government spending on infrastructure. Sagarmala and Smart Cities continued to drive demand from the infrastructure segment. Asian countries, namely China and India, dominate cement production on account of demand from large-scale public infrastructure development and meeting housing needs.
