Cement manufacturers in Assam have re­duced prices by 7 to 8 per cent per bag as they were been criticised since a long time for not lowering prices despite enjoying subsidies under North East Industrial and Investment Promotion Policy (NEIIPP) 2007. The state government has constituted a committee to delve into the details of cement pricing in Assam.
