The cement prices have reportedly started recovering after a year, on account of the price hike in southern and western regions. Prices have been recovered by Rs 15-20 per bag to Rs 310-315, compared to what was prevailing till January this year. Average increase was around 6 per cent across the country, while in south and west the increase was around 15 per cent. The price increase has reported to be due to infrastructure growth and bounce back in discipline as companies realised discount game cannot sustain.
