Cement production may rise to 349.6 mn tonne

In the current financial year, India's cement production is expected to increase to 349.6 mn tonne. The projected demand and capacity to be created during 2012-13 are 265.4 mn tonne and 349.6 mn tonne, respectively. According to the report of the Working Group on Cement Industry for the Twelfth Five Year Plan, the installed capacity of cement production during 2011-12 was 336.10 mn tonne.
