Cement factories will derive fuel from non-recyclable plastic and other waste such as rubber and polystyrene. As reported, the factories would require about 25 acre each for the project. The machinery cost will reportedly range between Rs 200 mn and Rs 1 bn, based on the amount of waste processed. All municipalities and corporations in the state can send nearly 1,000 tonne of waste every day to various factories to be incinerated and converted into fuel, which could be sold to the companies.
