Gujarat policy to boost cement capacity

Gujarat Government’s decision to put its mining policy on the fast track will give a boost to eight cement companies that plan to add 22 mn tonne of capacity. Companies like Reliance Cement Pvt Ltd, Ambuja Cements Ltd, Dalmia Cements (Bharat) Ltd, Binani Cement Ltd, JK Lakshmi Cement Ltd and Shree Cement Ltd have signed pacts to set up plants in 2009.
