Shree Cement to set up cement and power plant in Karnataka

Shree Cement has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Karnataka Government to set up a 3mn tonne cement plant and a 100 MW power plant in the state. The collective investment for the project stands at Rs 2,000 crore, of which Rs 500 crore will be utilised for setting up the power plant. The project is expected to create direct and indirect employment opportunities for about 2,500 people.
