Star Cement Uses Riverine Route

Star Cement has become the first Indian cement manufacturer to opt for riverine route to export its clinker. The company aims to export over 50,000 tonne of clinker to Bangladesh every month using this route. With this, it will be able to encounter the stiff competition that it is likely to face from manufacturers of Southeast Asian countries, who cater to 99 per cent of Bangladesh's clinker requirement.
