A joint venture between Ammann and Apollo marks the entry of the former into the Indian market for road construction equipment. The Ammann Group, a worldwide leading manufacturer of asphalt mixing plants, compacting machines and asphalt pavers with headquarters in Switzerland, and Apollo Construction Equipment, an Indian-based construction industry supplier, launched their strategic partnership which was announced last December. The share capital increase for the Apollo Group subsidiary marks the entry of the Ammann Group into the Indian market for road construction equipment. The aim of the partnership with Apollo is to advance the group's market position in the field of asphalt mixing plants, asphalt pavers and compacting machines in India and the adjacent regions. The partnership The joint venture with the Indian market leader is headquartered in Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat. It is directed by the experienced Apollo management team supplemented by a number of Ammann employees. Once all the officially required permits have been obtained from the authorities, the joint venture will operate on the market under the name 'Ammann Apollo India Private Limited'. Ammann is delighted to have found a partner of this high calibre. Apollo has been operating with great success in the Indian market for several decades now, its key posts are staffed by members of the founding family, and the company embraces the same values as Ammann in its dealings with customers, partners and employees. Moreover, Apollo has a broad network of sales and service branches in India, and the company's products ideally supplement the Ammann range on the global markets. Consequently, the joint venture will remain responsible for product sales in market region India, whilst the Ammann Group will now market the Apollo products worldwide.
