Driving Your Mini Rigging Needs
Having established itself in the concrete equipment division, Revathi Equipment Ltd is now foraying into foundation equipment.
Revathi Equipment Ltd (REL), a division of the Renaissance Group, in association with TESCAR Srl, Italy, launched its ‘CF’ series piling rigs at the recently concluded bC India in Mumbai. By entering the ground engineering equipment segment, REL is augmenting its construction equipment range with new hydraulic drilling rigs.
“There is a huge demand for piling rigs for small and medium pile diameters from 400 mm to 750 mm at several construction sites,” says M Sunil, Associate Vice-President, REL. “Today, piling contractors either depend on big machines to do the job, thus incurring higher cost by way of fuel, transportation and maintenance, or resort to conventional methods, resulting in very low productivity. REL and TESCAR together will address this gap with the ‘CF’ series.” REL is targeting the emerging market segment for mini piling rigs and is confident of making a mark in this niche segment.
Indeed, India’s long coastal belt throws up huge opportunities for medium-range piling rigs for depths up to 30 m and pile diameters of 500 mm to 800 mm. The TESCAR ‘CF-6’ is ideal for this application with a total weight of 20 tonne on a ‘Hitachi’ base and 66 kW engine. The CF-6 will be a cost-effective solution for Indian piling contractors and the rental segment, which will combine productivity with low operating costs. TESCAR is also the leading manufacturer of tools and supplies equipment to every leading piling rig manufacturer in the world.
The TESCAR range begins with the CF 2.5, which can be mounted on a variety of base machines and can dig up to a depth of 15 m for pile diameters ranging from 400 mm to 800 mm. The most popular rig in the CF 2.5 range is the CF 2.5A, an 8-tonne machine with a telescopic mast on a Bobcat base; it is sought after world over for its flexibility and ability to operate in confined areas with very low head room. In fact, TESCAR has patented the design of this telescopic mast.
REL’s Construction Equipment Division offers a ‘full liner’ in concrete equipment with technical collaboration with leading German manufacturers. “Every product from REL-CED has certain features that are incomparable and offer value addition to clients in terms of productivity, saving operating costs or additional safety features,” asserts M Sunil. REL has now expanded its network to all four regions of the country and currently has 13 dealerships to provide after-sales support to its range.
