Eco-citi, with its use of various ecological materials, aims to redefine the standards of living of its residents.

Supertech Ltd, a Noida-based real estate developer, has announced the launch of India’s first ever eco-centric development project, ‘Eco-Citi’ in Sector 137.

Spread over 12.6 acre, this residential project will comprise of 2, 3, 3+1 and 4+1 BHK apartments, ranging between 890 sq. ft. to 2275 sq ft The project will have 1,700 units, price of which will start from Rs 19.79 lakh upto Rs 1 crore.

Use of biodegradable materials
The idea behind the development of this project is to build zero carbon emission by using special generators, machineries and ecological sanitation. The master plan of the project has laid emphasis on maximum use of eco-label products and material, energy efficient landscaping, rain garden, design club house-ecodome, biomass plant to provide steam and energy, low voltage LED lighting which will be used in all the common areas, paper bottles and plastic recycling bins all around the campus, self electricity generation for common areas by means of solar panels and wind mills and an irrigation system to recycle grey water whereas green building uses only the eco-friendly construction material and does not have any special low carbon emitting plants.

The buildings will also have a natural ventilation system, concrete floors to maximise thermal mass, and use of other recycled material. The apartments will have extensive balconies for panoramic views and a bedroom skylight. The project is accredited by CDM-Gold Standard Foundation of Switzerland. The project, which will incur an investment of Rs 650 crore, is expected to complete in 30 months.

Self-supporting eco-system
Speaking on the project RK Arora, CMD, Supertech Ltd, says, 'Eco-Citi project will redefine the standards of living of its residents. Our core approach is based on the idea that all the ecologically responsible aspects of the building are ‘made visible’ and make an eco-habitat residential project. This project will be a complete self sustaining eco-system with world-class amenities and infrastructure.'

'It aims to be the most sought after property in the vicinity with excellent connectivity, infrastructure and environment friendly architectural design in a unique manner to establish an identity of the project', added Arora.
