Tata BlueScope Steel offers coated steel, steel building solutions and related building products.

The Coated Steel Business, a business division of Tata BlueScope Steel and an equal JV between Tata Steel and BlueScope Steel of Australia, operates in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region in the field of coated steel, steel building solutions and related building products.

The division manufactures and supplies Al-Zn alloy coated ZINCALUME® steel and pre-painted COLORBOND® steel for building and construction industry. Its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant at Jamshedpur has an annual metal coating capacity of 250,000 tonne with a paint line capacity of 150,000 tonne.

The coated steel business of the company offers 55 per cent Al-Zn alloy coated ZINCALUME« steel and pre-painted 55 per cent Al- Zn alloy coated COLORBOND® steel. COLORBOND® steel and ZINCALUME® steel are highly corrosion resistant and of consistent quality.

Inherent features

The latest innovation in the paint system of COLORBOND® steel ensures the durability of colour and excellent thermal reflectivity. In case of ZINCALUME® steel, the surface coating is further improved, which helps to provide anti-finger coating and minimises differential patina development caused by the temperature difference between hot and cold areas of a roof. The effect is translated to looks that remain new for longer time compared to a locally produced equivalent steel product.
