Schindler has opened a new state-of-the-art Technical Training Centre in Pune.

Schindler India is a 100 per cent owned subsidiary of Schindler Group. Founded in Switzerland in 1874, the Schindler Group is a leading global provider of elevators, escalators and related services. Its innovative and environmentally-friendly access and transit-management systems make an important contribution to mobility in urban societies. Behind the company´s success are over 57,000 employees in more than 100 countries.

Well-equipped
The new training centre, Schindler´s fourth in India, is equipped with three elevator shafts and electronic control simulators, ensuring that Schindler engineers and service technicians are fully trained and certified.

The training provided at its latest training centre assures the highest level of quality, reliability and safety values that Schindler is known for. Customers, therefore, have the unique advantage of not only having the best equipment installed by trained engineers, but also round the clock access to trained, certified professionals for service and maintenance.

Training expertise
As Nimish Deshpande, Senior Vice President-Technical, Schindler India, says, ´An elevator is not a plug-and-play kind of product unlike other building equipment. Just as important is the design and quality of the elevator, it is equally important that it is installed and serviced by trained experts.´ Recognising the importance of highly skilled workforce, Schindler India is the only company in the industry which has invested in four, full-fledged, state-of-the-art training centres - at Mumbai, Bengaluru, Noida, and now also in Pune.

´These world-class training centres are providing the best skilled workforce to install and maintain our products. This exceptional value is making Schindler the first choice of major developers and builders in India,´ adds Antony Parokaran, CEO, Schindler India.

Practical know-how
The training centres are not merely conventional class-rooms, but engage the technicians in actual installation in elevator shafts constructed inside each training centre building. Real-life simulators train the technicians on maintenance and troubleshooting. This ensures that customers have peace of mind, knowing that their elevator is in safe hands.
