Since its inception, Eimco Elecon Construction Equipments Dept has been penetrating into different market regions and sectors in a planned and phased manner. Eimco Elecon (India) Ltd, since its inception in 1974, has been a pioneer in the manufacturing and marketing of reliable heavy duty equipment for underground and opencast mines under the flagship Elecon Group of Companies. With a sound technical skillset and most modern manufacturing facilities and practices, the Elecon Group has been the market leader in manufacturing of material handling equipment and related projects in India. It recently diversified its interests in wagon tipplers, stacker reclaimers, industrial gear boxes, industrial geared motors, industrial electro magnets, wagon and ship loaders, wind mills, various electronic equipment, etc. Eimco Elecon (India) was the first to introduce the intermediate technology of side dump loaders, load haul dumpers and rocker shovel loaders in India to partially mechanise the underground coal and metalliferrous mines. The company continues to be the market leader since then. In 2008, Eimco Elecon diversified into the construction equipment segment by acquiring the technology of articulated loading shovel from a leading German manufacturer. The model, which they selected to introduce the first was AL 120, an articulated four-wheel drive loader in 6 tonne capacity. The loader has the following features: • four-wheel drive.• articulation.• all wheels of equal size and width.• brakes in all the four wheels.• engine at the rear end.• Z bar linkage.• least turning radius with minimum cycle time. It also has a hydrostatic drive, which makes it a highly fuel efficient, better performer on output in tonnage and least on maintenance cost. Since inception, Eimco Elecon Construction Equipments Dept has doubled its sales every year and is penetrating into different market regions and sectors in a planned and phased manner. Also to provide utility to customers, it has introduced attachments like multipurpose bucket, sweeper, high dump buckets, forklift, etc. The bigger models will also be introduced soon, which will be highly rugged machines and designed with focus on Indian operating conditions.
