Shaw Contract India partners with Samarthanam Trust to further its social initiatives.As part of its CSR initiatives, Shaw Contract hosted disabled, orphaned and special children from Samarthanam Trust, an NGO that works for the educational upliftment of underprivileged children. The event took place at a resort located near the Bangalore International Airport. This being the first-of-its-kind CSR initiative from Shaw Contract for the Indian region, the full team got intensively engaged with the project.At a glanceThe day began early with the children and teachers being brought to the resort. Shaw Contract team members cooked a couple of dishes for the kids and conducted a healthy cooking contest within the team. The kids in the meantime were engaged with games. The day concluded with lunch being served to the children by the Shaw Contract Team. The kids had a wonderful and relaxed time.Phil Decker, DVP, Shaw Contact, who was present at the event was gratified by the CSR steps taken by the company and its commitment to Indian society. As a token of participation, the Shaw Contract team handed over a donation to Samarthanam Trust.
