Piyush Gandhi, Managing Director, Genesis Engineering outlines the company's initiatives and its future plans.Established in 2000, Genesis is engaged in structural fabrication and civil alterations and modifications of RCC structures all over India. The company employs advanced technology and hi-tech machines recommended by structure consultants and designers and offers construction services like RCC drilling, rebar chemical grouting, core cutting, diamond sawing, cutting and demolition of structures with electrical breakers and hydraulic crushers also cutting of rock and concrete with splitter machine. It also has a motivated team of 40 employees comprising skilled workers and office staff. Piyush Gandhi, Managing Director, tells us more about the company and its operations.What makes structural fabrication and civil alterations essential parts of the building industry?Technological complexity and market demands lead to changes of design plans during construction. Structural fabrication is used here first to support the existing structure and to support it while alterations are taking place. Alterations here mean cutting/dismantling the required or not required part of the structure. Structure fabrication is essentially done on structures for reasonable strength, support, erection and elevations.What is Genesis Engineering's mission statement?We believe in doing difficult work under critical conditions and locations and with the latest eco-friendly technology. We have been appreciated for using the best technologies and given the best output in the right time. We have always been doing challenging work in challenging conditions.When we started in 2000, we had our mission clearly in mind and also the goal to give our customers the best job, right from providing engineering machinery spares and components to customers and also doing high-end structural fabrication work. Now to give our customers the best combination, using our engineering at its full acceleration, we started altering the structures with our different services gradually, year after year.Pile-breaking is a major safety hazard for demolition workers and is also time-consuming. What are the methods adopted by Genesis for speedy, precise and safe results?Pile cropping method: Preparation of pile dismantling is done before the steel casing is inserted for piling and later ed at the deformation point, and then lifted.Pile crushing method : Piles are crushed with the help of a hydraulic pile crusher attached to the excavator which can do the work at good speed as soon as the piles are exposed for breaking.Please tell us about some of the key projects executed.Almost all projects are crucial and of equal importance. We have the expertise of demolishing in many different ways like manual demolition, cutting and dismantling, crushing with combi-cutters and such. We have to take care of adjacent structures as well and safety of the complete execution team, as also making things eco-friendly with respect to dust, noise or any other pollution.The company follows the BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) vision, which is to adopt best practices of L&T and become an Rs 2,000-crore diversified group by the year 2029. What are the strategies planned to achieve this goal? To follow effective time-management techniques, utmost dedication, optimum utilisation of technical expertise, and give importance to project detailing in order to take up challenging projects and finish them in challenging manner.
