NBCC till November 2015, has bagged work order worth over Rs.6,000 crore

Achievements: In June 2015, we bagged the India Pride Awards 2015 under the PSU category. NBCC till November 2015 has bagged work order worth over Rs 6,000 crore, which is more than our target for FY15-16. The company also entered into tie-ups with various organisations at home as well as overseas for diversified business initiatives. We, also in association with IIT Roorkee, have set up an Innovation and R&D Centre on sustainable civil infrastructure, which would address the issues of innovation in construction, technology, etc. Financially too, NBCC has been performing consistently with an 8.09 per cent surge in PAT in 2014-15 as compared to the previous year, and the company has paid a dividend of 55 per cent to the government. In FY2015-16, NBCC, despite market sluggishness, has been putting up bold performance with Q1 profit up by 31 per cent and Q2 by 12.50 per cent.

Plans for 2016: Our focus shall certainly be redevelopment and development of government properties as NBCC, in recent times, has bagged some huge works in these segments. Further, the huge Rs 5,000 crore, East Kidwai Nagar, redevelopment project would substantially add up to the company´s revenue in 2016, impacting its growth. In real estate, we shall be putting on sale, quite a number of real estate projects pan-India and would expect earning revenue of approximately Rs 700 crore in FY16-17. But nevertheless, the PMC segment would still remain our main revenue earner in 2016.

Plans to partner with the development of 15 to 20 of the 100 smart cities: NBCC has signed several JVs and MoUs both at home and overseas with various renowned companies for technology sharing and setting up of independent and dedicated in-house department to attend to smart city projects. The company already has huge projects in hand.

Status on orders worth Rs 1,529 crore bagged: These orders are primarily of project management consultancy. All projects secured in April 2015 are in execution stage. We bagged projects from reputed clients like C-DAC, NABARD, National Insurance Company Ltd, Ministry of Textiles, Central Coalfield Ltd, MEA, Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion, Rourkela Municipal Corporation and Berhampur Municipal Corporation.

MoU with DDA for developing over 10 hectare into a residential-cum-commercial complex: NBCC has been developing two huge projects for DDA in Delhi named East Delhi Hub, Karkardoma, New Delhi, and Lake View Complex, Trilokpuri, New Delhi, on TOD norms and smart city concept on land measuring 75 acre and 25 acre, respectively. Planning and designing works have already begun and these works are now scheduled to be commenced in early 2016.
