Established in 1978 as a partnership firm and converted into a limited company in 1990, NCC - formerly Nagarjuna Construction Company - has progressed consistently over the past three decades. The company was born from a vision to provide world-class construction solutions with focus on quality, timely completion, customer satisfaction, continuous learning and enhancement of stakeholder´s value. It has been engaged in the infrastructure sector, primarily in the construction of industrial and commercial buildings, roads, bridges and flyovers, water supply and environment projects, housing, power transmission lines, irrigation and hydro thermal power projects, etc. As a contractor, NCC has its presence in India as well as in Oman and UAE through separate subsidiaries. As a developer, it owns four operational road projects, of which, it had signed definitive agreements to sell off two larger ones. In FY2016, however, the net sales remained flat; the company posted a 46.9 per cent rise in its net profit to Rs 90.35 crore as compared to Rs 61.48 crore posted in FY2015.
