PM inaugurates integrated command and control centre at Naya Raipur

The integrated command and control centre (ICCC) of the Naya Raipur Smart City was recently inaugurated by Prime Minster Narendra Modi. <br /> <br /> This makes it the 10th ICCC to be operational in the country; the ones already operational include those in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat, Pune, Nagpur, Rajkot, Visakhapatnam, Bhopal and Kakinada. <br /> <br /> With the inauguration of the ICCC at Naya Raipur, there will be integration of various systems of different stakeholders in the city that will help enhance safety and security and provide better public services.<br /> <br /> Schneider Electric India has successfully implemented the ICCC along with a utility management system (electrical and water SCADA) and intelligent building management system (BMS) at Naya Raipur. The integrated project, awarded in 2017, has been executed by Schneider Electric along with consortium partner IL&amp;FS Technologies.<br /> <br /> 'It is a happy moment for us as the Naya Raipur Smart City project takes off with the consortium and our partners,' said <span style="font-weight: bold;">Rajat Kumar, CEO, Naya Raipur Development Authority. </span><br /> <br /> 'This is a unique project, one whose organic growth we will pursue aggressively. The project will be spread across verticals and integrate diversified segments.'<br /> <br /> With the inauguration of the project, a wide range of technology-enabled services will be available to citizens, including smart lighting, transportation, traffic management, etc. <br /> <br /> Further, 560,000 individuals will now experience the firsthand benefits of living in an integrated city. The entire city is being covered with GIS mapping, along with 128 CCTV cameras, 40 speed-detection cameras and 42 number plate recognition cameras. <br /> <br /> The centralised CCC executed by Schneider Electric leverages IoT, mobility, sensing, analytics, and cyber-security technologies to ensure safety, reliability, efficiency, sustainability and connectivity to citizens. It will be the central hub to manage city operations and emergency responses.<br /> <br /> 'The inauguration of Naya Raipur is a moment of immense pride for us,' said <span style="font-weight: bold;">Prakash Chandraker, Vice President-Energy Business, Schneider Electric India.
