BEML launches first electric dump truck

BEML has developed India's first 205-tonne electric drive rear dump truck - model BH205-E - indigenously designed to strengthen the Make in India initiative. This will address the growing demand for higher capacity equipment in the mining industry. The equipment was flagged off in Mysuru, for its use in a northern coalfields project. BH205E is an electric drive rear dump truck for large-scale mining operations. The truck is powered by Tier-II emission compliant modular common rail electronic engine.
