HEC to manufacture draglines

Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) has bagged an order to make two units of draglines; considered the heaviest earth moving machine, for the Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL). The heavy machine manufacturer has so far produced 12 draglines since 1983, of which 11 were supplied to Coal India Ltd and one to the Singreli Coalfields Ltd. Both the earth movers would have a bucket capacity of 24 cu m fitted to a boom of 96-m length and can lift and drop rubbles within a radius of 88 m. The dragline is the heaviest machine capable of moving from one point to another and its effective work area is 88 m from where it is stationed. Contact: Heavy Engineering Corporation.
