The Madhya Pradesh government is planning to develop a power equipment manufacturing hub under the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) project near Rajgarh. A few months ago, the MP government entered into a Rs 20,000 crore deal with Infrastructure Leasing and Financial Services (IL&FS) for the hub. After perusing the proposals received from a number of companies to set up thermal power units in Madhya Pradesh, the state decided to get in a consultant to attract power equipment manufacturers.
