NTPC-BHEL plan power equipment plant in AP

NTPC and BHEL will jointly set up a power equipment manufacturing plant in Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh. It is estimated to cost Rs 6,000 crore. The state government has provided nearly 750 acre at the location at a nominal rate of Rs 100 per acre. It has also agreed to provide other required infrastructure including a four-lane road connecting the project site to the national highway.
