Volvo unveils Tier 4 interim machines

Volvo has unveiled the latest loaders, excavators and articulated dump trucks (ADTs), all of which feature low emission Tier 4 interim/stage IIIB diesel engines. Also, new from the company is its B-series backhoe loaders. In the case of Volvo's new G-series wheeled loaders, the new Tier 4 Interim/Stage IIIB engines accompany over 20 per cent increase in lifting force and over 10 per cent improvement in breakout force. The engines also offer more torque at low revs, which help reduce fuel consumption by up to 15 per cent compared to the F-series machines. Standard features include Volvo's optishift driveline system, which improves operator comfort, reduces fuel consumption, and incorporates its reverse by braking system.
