Vinay Pratap Singh, Business Unit Director, ROXUL ROCKWOOL Technical Insulation India, has 18 years of experience in the building and construction sector. Spearheading the company since 2013, Singh has been instrumental in its exponential growth, in both top and bottom line, which exceeded the expectation of its global management. Having started his career with Belgian Etex Group Company in 1998, Singh was then involved in 2006 in establishing Promat International Asia Pacific in India, a world renowned company in passive fire protection, which was involved in helping the government and private associations to upgrade the National Building Code in terms of passive fire protection and also create awareness on the subject. In 2010, Singh moved to 3M India, where he headed its Building and Constructions vertical. In his overall career, Singh has managed portfolios such as high thermal insulation, passive fire protection systems, roofing, walls, partitions, pre-engineering buildings, acoustic ceiling, facade, fiber cement boards, fire rated intumescent paints, calcium silicate boards, etc. For Singh, the most challenging project has been the supply of ROCKWOOL Stonewool Industrial insulation to an Indian industrial oil and gas conglomerate, wherein, in contrast to the general Indian mindset of considering unit cost only and not the overall costs, his company was able to ensure that the client understands the overall cost, its impacts and long term benefits.
