Hisao Tanaka, President and CEO, Toshiba Corporation, has been associated with the company for over 40 years. He recently announced a comprehensive strategy for expanding Toshiba's social infrastructure business in Asia and around the world with India positioned as a strategic business hub. On his maiden visit to India last month, he said, "The company will invest over $500 million (about Rs 30 billion), and create over 5,000 employment opportunities during FY13 and FY17." By qualification, he is a graduate from Kobe University of Commerce with a Bachelor Degree in Economics. Now heading nearly 200,000 employees worldwide, Tanaka has laid out a new vision for Toshiba employees based on 'growth through creativity and innovation'.
