Actively operating across infrastructure, EPC, realty, technology and natural resources verticals, Soma Enterprises has emerged as a key multidisciplinary player. Established in 1997, the company has been involved in hydel power, water resources, highway, energy, urban infrastructure, irrigation, rail, tunnel, and transmission line projects. It has also established its resence in the real estate sector, which includes residential villas and apartments, commercial space, retail space, hotels, hospitals, and community amenities. The company has largely focused on developing BOT projects. Since its inception, the company's turnover registered a year-on-year compounded growth of over 40 per cent. The company expects a significant growth in revenue in the coming years, backed by a strong order book, which is pegged at over Rs 16,170 crore.

The company is currently working on the Rs 589 crore Soma Hyderabad City Centre project awarded by the Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation. It is expected to complete by 2014. It also expects to complete the Rs 159 crore Soma Raipur City Centre project commissioned by the Raipur Municipal Corporation by 2014.

In April 2012, the company successfully completed work on the Rs 2,418 crore highway project in the 133 km Surat – Hazira stretch in Gujarat. In May 2011, the firm completed the Rs 4,518 crore six-laning project of the Panipat – Jalandhar stretch.

Its turnover in 2011 rose 27.7 per cent to Rs 3,193.9 crore from Rs 2,500.2 crore in the previous year. The company's profit after tax rose to Rs 192.3 crore in 2011 from Rs 161.9 crore in the previous year.
