India has a rich history of engineering

- Piero Guizzetti, CEO, MB India, MB Crusher India

MB India has recently ventured directly into the Indian market. Its parent company MB SpA manufactures crusher and screening buckets and has over 60 years of crushing experience in the excavation, road work, quarry, and demolition sectors. Piero Guizzetti, CEO, MB India, MB Crusher India, discusses further with SHRIYAL SETHUMADHAVAN.

How do you view the present Indian scenario?
We have been indirectly selling in the Indian market for the past five years but have a direct presence in India for the past six months. The mining sector has gone through its troubles in the past couple of years but with the new government, it is going to pick up. India has a rich history of engineering and knowhow with very strong capabilities. It is probably going to be the most important infrastructure market in coming years.

How much have you invested in India?
We are investing capital in the country and have qualified sales personnel to represent our diverse range of applications. It is important to understand the specific requirements of clients and offer customised solutions.

How do you understand the Indian customer requirement?
Consultants help us understand the market dynamics as well as find details. We do a lot of site visits where invited guests speak about their requirements in the demonstrations we make. We came up with a new application - the iron separator - through such visits. It separates excess materials from crushed materials.

Please introduce us to your product range.
Our product line has 14 products or models. We have six bucket crushers to be applied to excavators; four bucket crushers to be applied to loaders, backhoe loaders and skid loaders; and four screeners for excavators.
