Ahluwalia plans for acquisition
Ahluwalia Contracts India Ltd is planning to acquire specialised construction firms. The company anticipates a 25-30 per cent growth for next five years and plans acquisitions of upto Rs 100 crore. The New Delhi-based firm expects new government orders of around Rs 500-600 crore for construction of specialised buildings like hospitals, hotels and education institutions by the end of March 2010. The company also plans to foray into construction of power projects and is in discussions for prequalification with a number of companies.
