International Copper Association India (ICA India), recently organised a workshop on ´Standardisation, Certification and Quality Control of Distribution Transformers´, in association with Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Indian Transformer Manufacturers Association (ITMA) and Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) in Delhi. The event was well-received by consultants, transformer manufacturers and general industries utilising the distribution transformers. The objective of the seminar is to create awareness on the STANDARD û IS1180 (part-1), certification and quality control of distribution transformers and enhance the operational efficiency, incorporate global practices, testing, failure analysis and improvement in design and performance of distribution transformers. Sobha Ltd organised the Sobha Homes Expo in Bengaluru, which featured projects from Bengaluru, NCR-Delhi, Pune, Chennai, Thrissur, Coimbatore, Kochi, Kozhikode and Mysore. Over 30 projects were featured and more than 200 customers visited the expo, there were eight on the spot bookings. The seventh edition of Vibrant Gujarat Summit, recently held at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar, witnessed 21,304 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) being signed. At the three day event, Indian companies committed themselves to investing Rs 2 lakh crore and creating more than 50,000 jobs.
