Godrej bags two green awards
The second award given to the company is the Leader in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability Award given to the company by Trane and Ingersoll Rand.
Godrej & Boyce has received two green awards. The first is the gold certification in the existing building category to Godrej Bhavan by the US Green Building Council (USGBC). The building was chosen from among 23 projects in India, which had been registered for LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. It is the first building in Mumbai to be accorded this top honour. Godrej Bhavan was built in 1972 and meets strict requirements regarding sustainable sites, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, indoor environmental quality and innovation in design.
