Around 2,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and about 250,000 visitors from over the world are expected at BAU

BAU, a leading trade fair for architecture, materials and systems will take place from January 16 to 21, 2017, at the Messe München exhibition centre. Around 2,000 exhibitors from more than 40 countries and approximately 250,000 visitors from all around the world are expected to take part. Further, this time, three Indian exhibitors are participating at the event – Bele Drain Systems, Pune; Crown Laminates, Ahmedabad; and Ozone Overseas, New Delhi.
On display at BAU on 180,000 sq m of exhibition space are architectural solutions, materials and four systems for commercial and residential construction and for interior fit-out, for both newbuild and renovation and modernization. One of the themes at the exhibition is ‘Building and Living in 2020’, which plans to showcase how are we going to live, dwell and work in the coming five, 10 or 20 years.
Every two years, this event brings together market leaders from the sector to participate in a unique international display of competence spanning all the construction trades. 3 per cent of the BAU visitors are from the housing and real estate industry. BAU is also the world’s largest trade fair for architects and construction engineers, attracting more than 60,000 design professionals. The exhibits at the fair are organised according to building materials and also products and themes. The many attractive events in the supporting programme – including high-caliber forums with experts from all over the world – round off this industry showcase.
