BWSSB to get expertise from Singapore entities
Earlier this month, Singapore Cooperation Enterprise and Temasek Foundation agreed to share technical expertise in reusing waste water for potable purposes with Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB). An Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to this effect was signed by the board with the Singapore institutions.
Singapore is the world's leading city in waste water treatment, particularly in indirect potable reuse of treated water, termed 'NEWater'.
Meanwhile, it is learnt that BWSSB plans to hire a contractor for laying water supply line in some areas of the city.
