Big attendance at The Big 5 Construct India 2015

The Big 5 Construct India 2015 witnessed industry experts coming together under one roof. The prestigious event was organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), co-organised by Ministry of Urban Development (MoUD), Government of India in association with dmg events, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Daily Mail and General Trust plc (DMGT). The exhibition was inaugurated on September 10 and took place from September 10-12, 2015, at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai.

The show saw an impressive attendance of 7,428 trade professionals across segments including architects, builders, real-estate developers, contractors, engineers, dealers and distributors of building and construction materials amongst others.

The event was supported by Indian Institute of Architects (IIA), Council of Architecture (COA), The Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), Builders Association of India (BAI), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The third edition showcased over 250 global technologies, trends and solutions as well as nearly 15 CPD certified technical workshops, sessions and seminars. The visitors and exhibitors got a chance to meet the decision makers, key buyers and who’s who of the building and construction sector from India, South East Asia, Middle East and Europe.

The international exhibitors from Germany, Turkey, UK, Kuwait, China, Korea, Malaysia, Italy, Oman and Qatar were quite impressed to see the overwhelming response for their pioneering products in the Indian market. “It was our first ever exhibition in India and we are happy to see the tremendous response for our product. We look forward to participate next year as well,” said Fatih Say, Sales Manager/Mechanical Engineer, Namtas, Turkey. “We were glad to participate for the second time at The Big 5 Construct India 2015 exhibition. And yet again we got an opportunity to enter the market with huge demand for it. The Indian market is developing and has huge scope for our products,” said Mirza Aijaz Baig, CEO, Ahlia Chemicals Company, Kuwait.

The Indian exhibitors also had a strong presence at the show. These included Asahi India Glass Ltd, Birla White Cement, Godrej Construction, Astral Polytechnik Ltd, Tata Steels, Jindal Steels & Power Ltd, Bishan Steel Industries, Ashtech India Ltd, and many more.

“All the important job titles, right mix of stakeholders brought in more interest for our product, and that is exactly what we aspired,” said Sharad Vyas, Head Technical Services, Birla White Cement.

“People have shown interest in our new product line, and this has been a great platform for TATA steel to showcase our new technology,” said Parag Raut, Manager Sales & Marketing, TATA Steel.

The fourth edition of Big 5 Construct India will be held from September 28-30 at Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai next year.
