Embassy group and Hilton partner to develop twin hotels in Bengaluru
The 586-room, dual-branded hotel to be located within the Manyata Embassy Business Park will include two hotels – a 250-room Hilton Hotels & Resorts brand hotel and a 336-room Hilton Garden Inn brand hotel. The business park currently has 12 million sq ft of existing office space. The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development, which will also house a food and beverages hub and two commercial towers of 700,000 sq ft. It will also feature 46,000 sq ft of flexible meetings and events space that accommodates up to 1,500 people.
As per reports, Embassy’s partnering with Hilton in the development of two more hotels is part of an ongoing, consistent business strategy around the hospitality business. The property will be developed and owned by the Embassy Group and managed by Hilton. The hotel’s plan and design are in an advanced stage of finalisation, and is targeted to start construction by 2017 and completed by 2020. It plans to have 1,700 rooms by 2022, reports say.
And, Hilton continues to see increasing brand awareness across its brand portfolio in India. This agreement indeed underscores its long-term commitment to the country as a strategically important market where the company now operates 15 hotels across 11 cities covering most major markets in the country.
