Emirates to invest in the construction of Amravati Airport

Global airliner Emirates has shown interest in assisting the Andhra Pradesh Government in the construction of the new airport at Amravati. On being invited by the state government, the airliner has invested in the construction of a greenfield airport, hub and an MRO facility.

Also, Chandrababu Naidu, Chief Minister, Government of Andhra Pradesh, has invited the airliner to help the government in expanding the airport at Vizag. It is expected that the airliner will be operating flights from the port city and other areas to Dubai. While reports indicate that Emirates will not be investing in the airport, the airliner is keen to help and is awaiting clearance from the Centre. The Hyderabad airport, now a part of the new Telangana state, is seen as an example of remarkable work by the Naidu government. As reported, the government is keen to provide more opportunity to the renowned airliner.
