Five firms vie for Rs 490 cr Worli-Sewri elevated corridor project
Five engineering companies have submitted their bids for Rs 490 crore project of elevated road between Worli and Sewri on October 18. The road will boost east-west connectivity in Mumbai. Larsen & Toubro, Hindustan Construction Company, Gammon India, Simplex Infrastructure and National Construction Company are the companies that have submitted bids for the 4.5-km elevated road. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) said that it has opened the technical bids for the project. It will need around two weeks to evaluate the proposals after which it will open the financial tenders. Construction of the Worli-Sewri elevated road, which will cost around Rs 490 crore, is likely to begin early next year and will take nearly four years to be completed.
