GMR aims to reduce current debt through sale of road toll projects

GMR Infrastructure is likely to sell four road toll projects between Hyderabad and Vijaywada in Andhra Pradesh. The company aims to raise Rs 1,500 crore through the sale of these road toll assets. As per news reports, the company was in talks with buyers like SBI Macquarie, ICICI Venture and Morgan Stanley in the last couple of months. But now, Malaysian sovereign fund Khazanah seems to be interested in buying these assets through their JV with IDFC.

As part of it's plan to reduce current net debt, the company is also planning to sell it's minority stake in Turkish airport project.
