Goa to form Directorate of Civil Aviation

The Goa government is to form a new department, Directorate of Civil Aviation to regulate all aviation issues such as immigration, visa-on-arrival as well as other issues. The Goa cabinet approved the formation of the Directorate, It is to replace the existing Airport Cell.

The Directorate of Civil Aviation would regulate will handle even the Dabolim airport and a proposed greenfield airport at Mopa, the State Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar said in Panaji recently.
