L&T wins Rs 8,250-cr metro order in Saudi Arabia

To develop a metro project in Saudi Arabia, engineering major Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and its consortium partners have bagged an order valued at $1,403 million or Rs. 8,250 crore. L&T Construction won the turnkey contract from ArRiyadh Development Authority in Saudi Arabia for the design, construction and commissioning of the metro project in Riyadh.

In a statement, the company said that the heavy civil infrastructure business of L&T Construction has taken the lead and made a major breakthrough in the international market by securing an order worth $1,403 million or Rs. 8,250 crore from the ArRiyadh Development Authority,” the company said in a statement on Monday.
