Mumbai's Milan rail over-bridge to open shortly

In Mumbai, with the much-delayed Milan rail over-bridge set to open by next week, commuters in the western suburbs can have a smooth commuting. Mumbaikars wishing to cross over from SV Road to the Western Express Highway had to earlier use Milan subway — a notorious flooding spot prone to congestion.

The 700-m rail over-bridge will allow direct access to the highway from SV Road. However, as per the current plan, south-bound commuters will have to take a roundabout to join the rail over-bridge. Ashwini Bhide, Additional Metropolitan Commissioner at MMRDA said that they have completed the construction and finishing of the bridge.
