Mumbai's real estate leaders under one roof for REMI's Owner Developer Programme

One of India’s leading real estate educational institutes, The Real Estate Management Institute (REMI), has launched its Owner Developer Programme (ODP). The Real Estate Management Institute’s (REMI) Owner-Developer Programme (ODP) anticipates the journey ahead and offered participants an eagle’s view of what to expect, how to respond and what they need to know to capitalise on the possibilities.

Sarthak Shah, AVP Legal, Tata Housing Development Co, says “With the development of the new act, we need a lot of knowledge sessions which are important because the industry covers not only lawyers, it covers the whole body of architects, consultants and developers themselves. There is a huge gap in the right understanding of the law, so with these sessions and initiatives leaves a good knowledge, the right information for compliance management. As a industry practice, these sessions are fantastic on board. I really look forward to even attending such workshops.”

Gulam Zia, Executive Director, Knight Frank, says, “ It is such a great opportunity when so many of the promoters and the business leaders from their own families are in one roof, the kind of knowledge, learning, experiences out of this program would be unbelievable. My whole idea of interacting and sharing my experiences with them was useful to the participants and its a great feeling which I am taking it back with me from ODP. These are great programs and specially there are so many of the owner developers who are successful and they carry a huge experience with them and if they come under one roof and share their experience with each other, the output can be mind-blowing.”

SS Hussain, CEO, MCHI CREDAI, says “A very good initiative. This is right time to bring these initiatives learn how to prepare for various provisions, government policies, initiatives and what we are expecting in near future. If people have the knowledge, inputs and guideline then they will be ready to work on it and  go for it. REMI and its workshops will really help them make the decisions.”

Shubika Bilkha, Business Head, The Real Estate Management Institute, says, “The Owner Developer Programme has been designed to enhance the skills of Indian Real Estate leaders as they scale their organisations amid an evolving real estate environment. Through a unique and intensive learning format, the ODP equips current and next generation leaders with the ability to identify and exploit opportunities, as well as transform their real estate companies in a competitive landscape. Our program has been developed in conjunction with the industry and is facilitated by industry leaders with domain expertise. With increased regulatory vigilance in the sector, enhancing their knowledge and building the requisite skills will be essential to remain competitive and stay relevant in a fast-changing environment.”

The ODP programme participants had an opportunity to meet, learn, dialogue and network with peers and significant influencers in the real estate industry and offered participants an eagle’s view of what to expect, how to respond and what they need to know to capitalise on the possibilities.
