Now, Road Ministry can okay projects upto Rs 500 cr

The Union Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs has approved the proposal to delegate powers for appraisal and approval of national highways projects of upto Rs 500 crore to the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.

This has been done to simplify the appraisal and approval of NH projects, a release said.
